The Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) relocated its St. Petersburg office in Florida to a new location, effective February 25, 2022. The new Clearwater, Florida office is located at the following address:

This relocation change will allow TAS to continue to provide taxpayers with outstanding service while advocating on their behalf. Experienced case advocates are available to assist taxpayers with tax problems that you can’t resolve on your own. They will ensure that you are treated fairly and that you know and understand your rights.

What is the Taxpayer Advocate Service?

The Taxpayer Advocate Service is an independent organization within the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that helps taxpayers and protects taxpayers’ rights. We can offer you help if your tax problem is causing a financial difficulty, you’ve tried and been unable to resolve your issue with the IRS, or you believe an IRS system, process, or procedure just isn’t working as it should. If you qualify for our assistance, which is always free, we will do everything possible to help you.
